Water Testing
Benchmark Labs collects water samples for potability, which is required on all properties that utilize wells, cisterns, or springs before a real estate closing.
Some VA, FHA, and U.S.D.A. lenders require water to be tested for Lead, Nitrate and Nitrite. Check with your lender.
Benchmark Labs is an Ohio EPA certified laboratory. Lab results are normally reported within 24 hours. We also offer well chlorination and water retesting for samples that do not pass the analysis.
Ohio EPA Result Interpretation:
TC Negative = Free from Coliform bacteria – Passed
TC Positive = Coliform bacteria present – Failed
A failed water test can normally be remedied by chlorinating the water supply source.
